In Episode 9, ADI's Bart Sevin explains the latest pearl, "We can change culture if we change behavior."

Transcript: Culture change can be overwhelming. With any big challenge, it helps to first break it down into smaller more manageable steps. I've often heard Aubrey tell clients that we can change culture if we change behavior, and this is because the culture of an organization is made up of the patterns of behaviors that people demonstrate over time. So if you want a culture of innovation then focus on behaviors that are associated with developing new and creative solutions to problems. If you want a culture that challenges the status quo then focus on encouraging people to question longstanding practices. And if you want a culture that prioritizes safety, then work to reinforce behaviors such as considering safety in every decision. Keep in mind the behaviors that you're getting now are the ones that are currently being reinforced. If you're not getting behaviors that are consistent with the culture you want, then start first by identifying the behaviors that would represent an improvement to your culture and then make sure those behaviors are being reinforced.
